MarketLink^® is DataCode's dynamic data exchange, DDE, product that will converse with any DDE compatible application on Microsoft Windows OS's.

MarketLink^® caches defined items and passes updates to these items to the client application. This robust pass-through mechanism allows a DDE compatible application, such as a spreadsheet, to be either client or server. As a server, a DDE compatible spreadsheet may be used to update the Client or other required databases. MarketLink^® supports all datafeeds available on DataCode's Netfeed^® Server.

MarketLink^® functions include the ability:

• To request data from any live feed serviced by the NetFeed^® Server.
• To receive real time updates to any requested item.
• To request data from multiple sources simultaneously.
• To transmit appropriate updates to the NetFeed^® Server targeted to the Client database.

MarketLink^® features include:

• Display of the number of data items in its cache
• Display of current, active client and server applications
• Full error and communications message support, up to 100 messages stored.
• Debugging aids for users
  1. Snapshot view of data in cache for specific items.
  2. View of messages as received for specific data items.

The capacity of MarketLink^® is determined by the following conditions:

• speed of the target workstation.
• amount of memory on the target workstation.
• complexity of the calculations.
• number and type of additional applications being executed simultaneously.
