Whether you're looking to chain data (display all currently traded contracts for a specific security) from Reuters, DTN, S&P ComStock, Bridge, or data directly from the exchanges themselves, WorldWatch®Insight will retrieve and display all the underlying data quickly, accurately and most importantly, all with the same symbol command. DataCode provides this functionality because there are some data feeds on the market that do not have a symbol for a Futures Chain. For example, for S&P ComStock data, DataCode uses the symbol "NG:" to request All of the underlying monthly contracts for Natural Gas. Then it quickly sorts them and displays them in a single window for your viewing. No longer do users have to call up each individual contract (i.e. "NGZ0" for the December 2000 contract) one at a time in order to get a view on that security's overall market direction. With just 4 easy key-strokes a user can easily gain access to All of the underlying contract information.

Should you decide to switch data vendors, you do not have to re-learn new symbol codes for the new data feed. Just type the same symbol ("NG:") and hit the Enter key. This is also considered a very useful feature in larger trading firms, as they like to have more than one source available at any given time. Should they experience an outage from any particular data provider, they can seamlessly source the alternative data source and continue as before.

Once a Chain Window is displayed, a user can also double click anywhere on the Window to gain a further, more detailed description of the particular contract month that he or she may be interested in. By simply placing the mouse over the particular individual contract and double clicking, the user can then view News, Graphs and Full Quotes on the underlying instrument.
